The Prince of Dan: A novel. A story of murder, incest, and mental distress.
Briefly:
Marty Pelman's diseased brain believes he is going to lose his job. His solution? Murder the men responsible.
Marty Pelman was conceived in haste, without consideration of the future, and in complete error. He grows up rejected by his peers, disliked intensely by his disabled mother, her boyfriend, and others he meets on a daily basis.
Murders and incest swirl around him.
His half-brother is believed to be responsible for several murders and is sent to a home for the criminally insane. He is raised to hate his father who dies in bar fight over a handful of money bet on a game of pool.
The only bright spot in his life is his aunt, a neighborhood prostitute, a murderess, his first sexual partner and who dies from a suspicious fall off a bridge while in the presence of his half-brother. A girl his age makes his life miserable and then takes a tumble down the basement stairs.
Others, both the innocent and the guilty, perish along the way, including a police officer who believes Marty's brother had nothing to do with any of the murders and who allowed himself to be sent away in order to protect the real murderer.
Note: Will be posting a few chapters here and am looking for publishing ideas.
